Wisconsin's Top Rural Development Initiatives for 2001 were awarded in a public ceremony on November 28, 2001 at Stoney Creek Inn & Conference Center, Mosinee/Wausau, Wisconsin.

The following ten initiatives were recognized:

  3. Building Stronger Communities - An Early Childhood Initiative in Barron County
  4. Star-Spangled Celebration, Richland Center
  5. Main Street Waupaca, Inc.
  6. Work Where You Play, Bayfield County
  7. Wisconsin's Northwest Heritage Passage, Spooner-based
  8. Dairy View Country Store, Sturgeon Bay
  9. AgrAbility (Resource Center for Farmers with Disabilities), New Holstein
  10. Monroe County Public Safety & Justice Coordinating Committee
